Walk for Water
Anyone want to join in?
WALK FOR WATER
Sunday 12th September 2010 at 1:30pm.
Start at Bishopbriggs Community Church and either walk along
the canal to Cadder Church, fill up water bottles and return to BCC OR
walk along the canal to the Kirky Puffer, fill up and return to BCC.
Entry £2.50 each or £5 per family. Sponsorship forms and water bottles
will be provided. Certificates and medals will be awarded.

All proceeds go to Bisesero, Rwanda Housing Project, to build houses for orphans.

ReplyDelete£700 was raised and a lot of fun was had. One of our African ladies showed us how to walk with the water on our heads. A special well done to the 4 ladies who did the full 8 mile walk and to the 8 under 5's who walked over 3 miles (and especially to their parents for keeping them going!).
